SAGA DAWA is one of the most important and cherishable Tibetan Buddhist festivals, held each year on the full moon day of the fourth lunar month of the Tibetan calendar, to celebrate Sakyamunis enlightenment. It is said that the month of Saga Dawa is so sacred that any merit obtained for the performance of a good deed or religious practices (e.g. reciting of mantras) is doubled. Good deeds here we come:)
